Twitter eskolan

Twitter-ek, sare sozial eta microblogging zerbitzuak, hainbat hezitzaileren arreta bereganatzea lortu du. Hauentzat tresna zinez baliagarria bilakatu da Twitter: batetik, eskolan erabiltzeko lanabes egokia delako, eta bestetik, hezkuntza arloko lankideen arteko zubi-lana burutu dezakeelako. Hauen artean George Mayo-ren kasua aipa dezakegu: twitter dela medio, bere ikasleen arteko ipuin baten idazketa proposatu zuen.

One of my goals was to try and collaborate online

El valor de un futbolista, y me refiero a su valor en euros, ya no solo depende de lo bien o mal que juegue, sino de la comunicación que sea capaz de mantener. Internet es una oportunidad magnífica, aunque pocos lo aprovechan. (Yuri Morejón, director of Comunicar es ganar) Read more…

Twitterholic Politicians

December 13, 2011 Leave a comment

In 2008, Barack Obama chose Twitter to thank for his victory in the elections (Cristina Pereda), and in three years time Twitter has reached 220 million users, having only one million in the year 2008 (Yolanda Monge). In 2011, six Spanish candidates out of ten owned a Twitter account in the elections in May (Albert Medrán). What is the reason behind this? In Medrán’s words, if politics is dialogue, discussion, debate and conversation, there is nothing closer than Twitter; but,  does all this have a real incidence in votes? Read more…

Spanish general elections 2011 and politicians Twitter attempt to win followers (and voters)

December 12, 2011 1 comment

Since Zapatero made public last July that the elections would be brought forward, the candidates from the different parties have been giving particular importance to Microblogging usage, specially on Twitter. Candidates have been tweeting what they were doing or, what they intended to do, if they reached the power. The Nielsen Study has analyzed the Twitter accounts of Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba (PSOE) and Mariano Rajoy (PP) and shows that both politicians twitters were quite inexpressive and not too well developed. Ester Mascaró, looking through the Study, confirms that both accounts were not optimized. Read more…

Internet 2.0: Nor zara?

Nortasun digitala hobetzeko, Albert Garcia-k bere 10 ideas imprescindibles para la identidad digital blog sarreran ideia batzuk proposatzen dizkigu. Blogging eta Microblogging-ean aritzeaz gain, sare sozialetan profil bat zabaltzea gomendatzen digu, izan ere, gaur egun sare sozialak harreman profesionaletarako sareak bilakatu dira. Mikroblogintza, blogaren seme gazteena

December 12, 2011 Leave a comment

Pasa dira bost urte, Wired aldizkarian Paul Boutinek idatzitako artikulu bat irakurri eta, kamarada, gauzak nola aldatzen diren ikusi duzu.

“Zeure bloga idazten hasi behar al duzu? –dio artikuluaren hasierak– Hona lagun baten aholkua: ez egin. Eta honezkero bloga baldin badaukazu, kendu entxufea”.

Orain Twitter, Facebook eta antzekoen garaia bizi dugu, sare sozialen aroa, Interneteko azken zurrunbilo eroa; eta, Boutinek dioenez, blogek berrikuntzaren treneko txartela galdu dute. Zergatik? Lehen geltokia: dirua

“Blogosfera, behinola norbere adierazpenen eta pentsamendu argien oasi fresko izandakoa, ordaindutako gauzen tsunami batek ito du”.

Facebook vs Twitter, marka komertzialek kontuan hartzeko alderdiak

Herbert Marshall Mcluhanek zioen publizitatea XX. mendeko arte formarik handiena zela. Baina 1980an hil zenean berak ez zekien hurrengo mendean, muga guztiak zeharkatuko zituela komunikazio komertzial teknika honek. Kapitalismo basatiaren eskutik ikaragarri garatu den teknika hau bide berriak zabaldu nahian dabil itsasoz gain uholdeetan ura bezala. Neoliberalismoaren adar honek interneten bere sustraiak ireki nahian dihardu azken hamarkadan. Twitter eta Facebook estrategia hauen adierazle aparta dira. Baina zer eduki behar da kontuan marka komertzialen mezua modu eraginkorrean hel diezaien erabiltzaileei?

Lehenik eta behin, produktu bat saltzeko ezinbestekoa da zehaztea norentzat zuzenduta dagoen. Twitterren eta Facebooken adin guztietako erabiltzaileak ageri dira. Nerabeek (18-22 artean) nahiago dute Twitter (%26) erabili Facebook (%16) baino. Eta 23-35 urteko taldearen artean pareko datuak jaso dira baina Twitter erabiltzailea joriagoak dira (%34). Batez ere, sare-sozialen demokratizazioa, arabiar eta asiar herrialde askotan, zerikusi handia izan du. Beraz, 18 eta 35 urteko aldean sar ditzakegu erabiltzaile gehienak oro har. Talde ugariena da, batik bat teknologiak erabiltzeko duten errastasunagatik, izan ere internetaren hasi diren belaunaldiak dira. Read more…

Pierre Lévy: talde jakintza

Pierre Lévy-k dioenez, informazio eta komunikazio teknologia berriek aukera handiak eskaintzen dituzte gizabanakoen ezberdinataz¡sunen  (osasuna, ekonomia, politika…) murrizketan, edonork eskuratu nahi duen edozein motatako informazioa erraztaraziz. Erronkarik nagusiena, teknologia hauek nola gehitu eta menperatzea da; beti ere, potentzial hau burutu eta ezberdintasunak handitzen ez diren bitartean. Read more…

Chased by (virtual) strangers

Humans have been paranoic about being chased by a stranger for a while. But it got worse since the internet was invented (you don’t even have to be “physically” chased!). And what is even worse, nowadays, there is no need to be involved in any kind of secret organization or to belong to the upper echelons of society to be pursuing someone. Unfortunately, this paranoic ideas go together with some other problems such as the reputation or the image others get from us in the net.

This interesting topics have of course been investigated and analyzed by several experts whose opinion and articles will be taken into account so as to get a whole vision about it.

We will start by quoting a phrase written by Dave Birch: Read more…

The Microblogging Boom

November 26, 2011 Leave a comment
Microblogs were first known as tumblelogs. The term was coined by Why [the lucky stiff] in April 12, 2005, while describing Christian Neukirchen’s Anarchaia:
“Blogging has mutated into simpler forms (specifically, link- and mob- and aud- and vid- variant), but I don’t think I’ve seen a blog like Chris Neukirchen’s Anarchaia, which fudges together a bunch of disparate forms of citation (links, quotes, flickrings) into a very long and narrow and distracted tumblelog.” (Wikipedia)
Jason Kottke (2005) described tumblelogs as Read more…

Twitter’s confusing interface

Lisa Glory Mary believes the main disadvantage of Twitter is it’s confusing interface, especially if you are not tech-savvy.

It is worth observing the microblogging phenomena by studying the topological and geographical properties of Twitter’s social network. We find that people use microblogging to talk about their daily activities and to seek or share information. Users have intentions and connect with each other at a community level. Read more…

New strategies in electoral campaigns: Twitter

November 17, 2011 2 comments

This is the first time in Spain that political parties are flushed in the social networks. They have realized that new technologies have developed considerably so they must live up to society. Because of this, PP and PSOE, for example, have their own specific departments to manage their Twitter accounts, that are based on Microblogging. Now everybody goes to Twitter to know the first reactions when an important event happens, such as the last communique of ETA. Twitter has become an important communication tool all around the world. It is true that with this method they can win or lose votes, but,  anyway, the strategies they are using are very short. Actually, the candidates are not all the time updating their profiles, among other things, because they have not got time enough to do it, so sometimes third persons are on the other side tweeting. Mariano Rajoy made a Twitter account just  a month ago and he has already got 103.573 followers. Rubalcaba on the other side, has 70.000. Read more…
