Characters of Diary of Anne Frank
This book called Diary of Anne Frank, as we can see in Wikipedia, was published by Contact Publishing in Amsterdam in 1947. This was first written by a girl called Anne while she was hiding from Nazi people. In fact, this book was first a diary.
Anne Frank is the main character. Due to the fact that it is an autobiography, in all the daily emotional and character changes that Anne is gaining in the Annex are perceived by the time goes by. She is mature, strong willed, intelligent and fighter. Has aspirations of becoming a writer someday and performs analysis of great depth and wisdom for his age.
Mr. Frank is a secondary character and Anne’s father, called Pim with affection and his real name is Otto. He has a great heart and he is noble, patient and kind. It is the only survivor of the occupants of the annex.
Mrs. Frank called Edith is also a secondary character and Anne’s mother. She is a great conversationalist but judges a lot Anne’s acts, She is also sarcastic and during the first stage of cohabitation in the annex, Anne expresses the bad relationship she has with her.
Margot, aswell as Mr. Frank and Mrs. Frank, is a secondary character and Anne’s sister. She is treated like a spoiled child by her mother and eats very little. It is sensitive and kind to his sister.
Beside these characters there are also some others that coexist with this family such us Mr. Van Daan, Mrs. Van Daan, Peter, Dussel and Koophuis.
