The United States of America is a federal constitutional republic, it contains fifty states and one federal state. Here there is a worth culture which has lots of different religions,traditions, ideals, political views, laws…to know about.

American culture encompasses traditions, ideals, customs, beliefs, values, arts, folklore and innovations developed both domestically and imported via colonization and immigration from the British Isles.
Moreover, there are important ideas and ideals which evolved important national holidays, American sports, proud military tradition, and innovations in the arts and entertainment give a strong sense of national proud among the population as a whole. It includes both conservative and liberal elements, military and scientific competitiveness, political structures, risk taking and free expression, materialist and moral elements. American culture has a variety of expressions due to its geographical scale and demographic diversity.
The US culture is highly symbolic, its nature lead some researchers to categorize American culture as a mythic identity. This culture also includes elements which evolved from Native Americans, and other ethnic subcultures from Latin America. Many cultural elements, especially popular culture has been exported across the globe through modern mass media where American culture is sometimes resent. A fe w of the cultural elements have remained rather exclusive to North America.
English is the national language of the United States, with 82% of the population claiming it as a mother tongue, and some 96% claiming to speak it “well” or “very well”. The variety of English spoken in the United States is known as American English; together with Canadian English it makes up the group of dialects known as North American English. Spanish is the second most common language in the country, and is spoken by over 12% of the population.
In addition, most of the American people think that they have a great Nation with a culture of its own. The structure of their Government, their laws and the way people relate to each other have great influence on their actions and attitudes.
To sum up, to understand better what the American culture is, maybe is useful to make this question to our minds, What do you think about when you hear the words?: The United States of America. American people would say: “The land of the free, and the home of the brave”. American people believe that there is just one nation, one culture in this country whether spoken or unspoken that manifests itself in everything american people say.
