He was born 8 June 1955 in London,  he graduated the Queen’s College at Oxford University and he is a computer scientist who is known as the inventor of  the World Wide Web.

In March 1989, while he was at the European Particle Physics Laboratory in Geneva, Tim Berners-Lee submitted a proposal for an information management system to his boss, Mike Sendall. There it was said that he wanted to concern the management of general information about accelerators and experiments at CERN. Which is a large international organization that involves a big number of researchers located around the world.

Initially, his proposal received no reply, but anyway he began working on his idea .There were discussed the problems of loss of information about complex evolving systems and it was derived a solution based on a distributed hypertext system.  After that proposal to his boss and thanks to the help of Robert Cailliau he implemented the first succesful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and a server through the Internet around mid November. By the end of the year he also he wrote a client program (browser) to retrieve and view hypertext documents. This client  was called “WorldWideWeb.”

During 1991 and 1993 he continued designing the Web by combining feedback from different users on the internet.  After a hard work  he made the WorldWideWeb browser and the web server available on the Internet.  But until computer enthusiasts from all over the world started setting up their own web servers the Web  did not began to take off.  The first Web page was served by the end of 1990.  In 1991, people outside of ‪CERN joined the new Web community, and in April 1993, CERN announced that the World Wide Web technology would be available for anyone to use on a royalty-free basis. Since that time,  it can be said that the Web has completely changed the world

In 2007,  it was recognized by Tim that the Web’s potential to help  people to bring a change still remained unrealized. He made public  his commitment  throuh the World Wide Web Foundation to ensure an open, free Web accessible and meaningful to all. A place where everybody  could share knowledge, access services, conduct commerce, participate in good governance and communicate in creative ways.

Actually he is the director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C),  that was founded in 1994 ,which oversees the Web´s continued development.  Apart from that Tim has also  founded the World Wide Foundation and he is a senior researcher and holder of the Founders Chair at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). It can not be forgotten that he is also  a director of the Web Science Research Initiative (WSRI), and a member of the advisory board of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence.

If we have a look to the awards that he has won it can be seen that  are more than 25 awards. This means that he is  a very relevant person who has worked hard to reach his aims. Maybe the most important one is that he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his pioneering work in 2004.  During the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony, he was honoured as the ”Inventor of the World Wide Web”.  This year has won his last award which is the inaugural Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, and he has shared with other five Internet and Web pioneers.

     On the page puente Vyzcaya Bridge, specially made for the Vizcaya Bridge and contains detailed information about it. It is a relevant bibliography,  because it is an official page of the Vizcaya Bridge and the page also appears in the bibliography of Wikipedia page. It is made by the company El Transbordador de Vizcaya S.L. and it has the administrative concession to operate the hanging bridge. The site describes the company, and its aim to promote tourism related activities. In this section we find information about the people who have invested a lot into the Bridges structural and operating system aspects. They also opened a pedestrian walkway for the people. At the bottom of the information, you have the option to subscribe to the page, which will keep people informed of the news.

On the home page, there is information about coming events such as the literary competition to promote the bridge. Also, there is information on the new winter schedule to see the bridge. It also has another section about the 120^th anniversary since its inauguration. Next to it is a link that shows the bridge through an installed webcam which was placed on it. Under, is a latest news section where you can click to participate on the 2013 Earth Hour, bookmark competition and other interest activities. Under that, there is a coming events section and contact information. All this information is relevant to the Vizcaya Bridge and allows people to join interesting activities, to get to know the bridge better.

It contains huge amounts of information which is available for everybody because it is a world patrimony. Azoka hau abenduko lehen hamostaldian egin ohi da, abenduaren 6 eta 8aren inguruan normalean, eta bertan euskal kulturako azken berriak saltzen dira, aurreko urteetako eleberri, liburu, nobela, CD eta abarrekin batera. “Durangoko Euskal Liburu eta Disko Azoka” euskal kulturaren eta euskararen erakusleiho nagusi bilakatzen ari da, bertan elkartuz euskal kulturako hainbat alor.

Azokaren Historia:

Azokaren lehen pausuak duela 37 urte eman ziren, 1965eko azaroaren 1ean hain zuzen ere. Andra Mari eleizako arkupean postuak jartzen hasi ziren, oraindik ere Frankoren diktadurapean. Edizio horretan 19 argitaletxek hartu zuten parte, eta Gerediaga Elkarteak antolatutako edizioa izan zen. Azoka honetarako, 100.000 pezetako aurrekontua bakarrik izan bazuten ere, guztia aurrera ateratzea lortu zuten. The spaghetti western was born in Europe, more precisely in Italy and Spain. The films identified because of their dirty looking, their particular way of showing the violence in its magnificence, their simple characters and their excellent soundtracks (highlighting Ennio Morricone´s ones). The spaghetti westerns, which break up with the American ideas, were at first left out, but well seen then. This genre became so popular that it invaded literature, appearing great writers such as Silver Kane, Clark Carrados or Marcial Lafuente Estefanía.

Between these films, it stands out Sergio Leone’s the Dollar’s Trilogy and Once Upon a Time in the West, which is considered a masterpiece. It can be said that Leone reinvented the westerns and turned them fashionable.

The Dollar’s Trilogy refers to the three Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns starred by Clint Eastwood: A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. They all have soundtracks made by Ennio Morricone and are realized by United Artists. The Dollar´s Trilogy is considered so because Eastwood plays the same kind of roll in each one: the Man Without Name. The Man Without Name is a character created by Leone for his westerns. Usually played by Clint Eastwood, he is a quiet man, with his personal aims, who does not worry about others, very professional with guns and that has an unknown past, without family. He does not kill Mexicans or Indians only, but everybody who causes problems to him.

A Fistful of Dollars (1964), filmed in Hoyo de Manzanares (Madrid) and Cabo de Gata-Níjar (Almería), is a remake of Yojimbo, directed by Akira Kurosawa. It tells the story of a strange wanderer bounty hunter (the Man Withouth Name) that arrives to a little village between Mexico and USA, where two families fight for the power. One of them, consisting in three brothers, controls the alcohol dealing. The other, a marriage, sells guns. The strange man starts to work for both families, without informing of it to each family, but everything changes when he falls in love with a girl. In consequence, he is kidnapped by the three brothers, who kill the marriage and every person suspecting of cooperating with the man. Finally, the Man Withouth Name scapes and revenges in a final duel.

For a Few Dollars More (1965) was filmed in the Almería desert and Níjar. Two bounty hunters, the Man Without Name and Colonel Mortimer, work in team to try to catch an infamous bandit, whose arrest includes a high reward. The Man Without Name wants the money, but Colonel Mortimer wants the revenge because of his sister´s rape. Finally, Mortimer kills the bandit and the Man Without Name takes all the money with him.

Finally, there is The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), which is the best and the most famous of the trilogy and was filmed in the Almeria desert and Burgos. The Good (the Man Without Name), a bounty hunter, and the Ugly, a thief, meet a carriage in the middle of the dessert, where a dying man tells them where a treasure is buried in exchange for water, but, when he dies, neither the Ugly neither the Good have the complete information: one knows the name of the cementery where the treasure is and the other the name of the tomb where it is buried. On the way to the cementery they meet the Bad, who carries problems to them, but finally they arrive to the cementery, where one of the greatest scenes ever made takes place, with an excellent Ennio Morricone´s music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWo__6Xn6Qs).

Between 2001 and 2002, the first social network appeared, but it was in 2003 when Facebook was created. Quickly, some companies entered the social networks to motivate their workers.
All started in Harvard University when a boy named Mark Zuckerberg, had the idea to create a site where students could communicate.
But a few years later, some social networks were created. For example, Tuenti that is the most used in Spain. In Tuenti people can share photos with their friends and send messages with other people. Nowadays, Tuenti has more than 12 millions of users. Another social network is Twitter. In twitter you can send messages with a lot of people and also with famous people.

Every player uses a racket to strike a rubber ball covered with felt, that needs to end in the opponent’s court. The objective of the game is to get such a good shot that the opponent cannot return it, or find difficulties at the time of doing it.

The ancient version of the game is thought to have started in 12th century in France, where a ball was struck bay the palm of the hand. Louis X of France liked to play jeu de paume, which later would evolve in what today we know for tennis. This happened between 1859 and 1865, when Harry Gern and Augurio Perera developed a game combining elements of rackets and the Basque ball game named pelota.

The very first tournament to take place was Wimbledon, in 1877, and which now conforms one of the Grand Slam tournaments. US open was held in 1881, the Australian open in 1905, and the Davis Cup, confronting nations, in 1900. The surfaces in which tennis is played change with the tournament, geographic situation, and tradition of the club or the place. Each of them provides a different bounce, and in consequence a different speed of game. Among the most used tennis surfaces can be found clay and grass surfaces and hard courts. The game in grass is really fast, which means shorter points and a high intensity. Strikes like the service can really mean a great advantage over the opponent in these kind of surfaces. Hard-courts provide a medium speed bounce, and the bounce in clay surfaces is slow and high. The game in clay surfaces is slower and much longer.

One of the many advantages of tennis is the little equipment it involves. Just a pair of good trainers, a racket and some balls and anyone can start this wonderful sport. Other advantage is the wide range of ages at which one can practice it. Kids, young people, adults and even the eldest can play tennis perfectly, because the intensity of the game can be adapted to anyone’s needs. But the intensity of playing tennis at a high level must not be underestimated: once that one   has some control over the ball and plays with a relative speed, being in very good shape is a must.

Tennis has so many health benefits that it is difficult to enumerate them all. Doctor Ralph Paffenbarger studied 10.000 people over 20, and the effects that playing tennis had over them. All of the participants played tennis 3 hours a week at a medium intensity. Results showed that the risk of dying from any cause was the half, as well as the risk of suffering mental disorders such as depression or anxiety. Playing tennis requires tactic thinking, so this sport could also generate new neuronal connections and stimulate the continous development of the brain.

50 years ago a cyclist could ride an average of 100 races per year. Today that is an impossible fact. Now a rider knows what races he is going to part in even before the season starts. And it is not common to ride more than 60 races per year. Differences among cyclist are disappearing and this goes against the spectacle.  The creation of the World Tour has congregated the most important and historical races in a kind of league in which only the best 18 teams can take part in. Almost all cyclists get prepared for the same races and due to the little preparation and competitive difference that exists among them, competitions are becoming more and more boring.

In the past, cyclists used to ride more races and, as there was not any league that congregated the best competitions, all the races were competitive and. Besides, the preparation was very different from what is nowadays. Riders guided themselves by their feelings; they did not prepare a race 2 or 3 months before it so a lot of times they were not in the same shape when taking part in a race, and the spectacle they used to show was bigger.

On the other hand, all changes have not been negative. The strict control cycling suffers from these day has also some positive aspects. Unfortunately, cycling is today more known for drug taking than for sports reasons. But this means that it is now more difficult, I would say almost impossible, to take any kind of illegal product that improves your physical condition without being caught. The case of Lance Armstrong, which is known all over the world, is the best example of how even the most meticulous way of drug taking can be detected. He has always been under suspicion, but the USADA has finally achieved to demonstrate that his victories were not “real”. This is the most famous case, but not the only one that have been the las decade: Floyd Landis, Ricardo Ricco, Alberto Contador, Iban Mayo… there is a very long list of cases that have damaged the health of cycling, but thanks to the progress that has been made in this field it is becoming more infrequent to find a case of “doping”

In conclusion, it is clear that today´s cycling is very different from what it was in the past, and although technology advantages have brought a big progress, there are some habits that should be taken up again in order to make this sport more attractive and enjoyable.

J. R. R. Tolkien idazleak idatzitako eleberrian dago oinarrituta trilogia. Tolkienek 1954. urtean amaitu zuen idazten, eta 1978an gaztelerara itzuli zen. Baina azkenengoa izan zen txapela irabazi zuena, bere diru-bilketa 1.119.000.000koa izatera heldu baitzen. Hirugarren pelikula, “Eraztunen jauna: Erregearen Itzulera”, bilketa handiena lortu duten filmen rankingean dago, 6. postuan, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” aurrean izanik. Beste bi filmak atzerago daude zerrendan, lehenengoa 29. postuan eta bigarrena 20.ean.

Nobelaren jarraitzaileen artetik, kritikak ere jaso ditu. Nobela eta pelikulen arteko akatsak ugariak direla diote. Agertzen ez diren pertsonaiak, eszena oso garrantzitsu ukatuak, eszena batzuk nahasturik euren artean…  Adibidez, lehenengo pelikulan, Nazgûl talde batek Frodo eta bere lagunak erasotzen dituzte. Bat-batean, Arwen elfoa agertzen da protagonistak salbatzeko. Liburuan, bestalde, Glorfindel deitutako beste elfo bat azaltzen da, Nazgûl horiek hil eta lagun-taldea salbu ipintzen dituena.

Inkongruentzia horiek izanagatik ere, trilogiak itzelezko arrakasta izan zuen. Argi ikus daiteke jaso zituen sari kopuruan. Aktoreak oso famatuak dira, eta ederto jokatu zuten euren paperean. Protagonista nagusia, Frodo Bolson, Elijah Wood aktoreak egin zuen, eta bere lagun banaezina, Samsagaz Gamyi, Sean Astin da. Bestalde, hiru kide gerlariak, Aragorn, Legolas eta Gimli, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom eta John Rhys-Davies aktoreek  hurrenez hurren egiten dute euren papera.

Esandako guztiagatik, trilogia ezin hobea gauzatu zuen Jacksonek. Kritika diezaiokegun gauza bakarra, nire ustez, liburuarekiko akatsak dira. Hala ere, jantziak, musika, akzioa, tramaren garapena eta aktoreek bikain daukate, eta horiek guztiek beste arazoak minimizatzen dituzte.
