This semester one of the activities was to publish an article in Wikipedia. At first, our group didn’t know if to create a new article or to translate an article done before to basque. After thinking for some days, we decided that we will translate a english article into basque, but the next deal was to choose which article to translate. We think about bach, Grace Codington, Anna Wintour and so on, but finally we everyone agree on writing about Nora Roberts, an American writer, who has had lot of succes as a romantic writer all over the world.
We took a long time translating the article because it was quite long, but at the same time I think that it was a good chance to improve our skills on translation, mainly because it is something that we are going to be expected to do when we finish our degree. Apart from this, we were able to know more about Nora Roberts, how her life is, all her succes and how she get to get the fame that she has nowadays.
Editing the article in Wikipedia was a nice experience, we almost know how to do it, becuase we learned it editing our WCPlan, the exercices and so on, but, apart from that, we had the oportunity to learn new things, as for example how to categorize the article, how to create an “infobox”…
Nora Roberts official website as a reference
The reference I have chosen for doing our Wikipedia article about Nora Roberts is her Official Page (http://www.noraroberts.com/index.php ) which is absolutely useful and totally reliable because is Nora Roberts herself who writes about her life, her books and so on. In the webpage we can find a section called About Nora where links are provided for the persons and fans who are interested in. Those links are very useful, as I have said, for our Wikipedia article.

Trendsetter Blogs
Bloggers are the latest strategy fashion brands are using to promote their products – and one need look no further than the multiple collaborations some brands have orchestrated with bloggers for proof that this is true.
That’s why Coach, the American leather goods and accessories company, reached out to Danny Chung, a 24-year-old social media strategist who writes about personal style and the fashion industry on his blog the modman.
“We are in a time where there’s so much competition among brands that are vying for consumers’ attention, especially when it comes to digital and social”
Chung said, explaining that brands such as Coach works with bloggers is largely because they want to tap into the audience and be exposed to a new consumer base.
Social Media for the best Personal Branding
Dan Schawbel in his article How to Use Social Media for Personal Branding give us some advises to create a good Personal Branding using Social Networks.
Most people online are building “a brand,” but sometimes people forget whose brand they are building and if they are making the right strategic moves. For instance, if your Twitter handle reads “@fastcar,” then you aren’t building your own personal brand. When people retweet you, they are viewing @fastcar and not your full name. So stop for a second and consider what brand you’re trying to build and why. Are you looking to become an industry expert, or are you focused on establishing your company’s name, or both? We’ve seen a lot of successful personal brands explode online because they’ve either thought about how they would like to be perceived or they have slowly grown into their current roles, by experimentation, luck and hard work. I could write a post explaining how to use TV advertising or radio to build your brand, but most of you won’t shell out thousands of dollars for something that most people will ignore anyways. Social media, on the other hand, allows you to connect directly with the audience you want to target, on common ground, and build relationships.
